Refund and Returns Policy for Techzone

Techzone (“We”, “Us”, or “Our”) is committed to providing a positive shopping experience. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms under which you may return or exchange Products purchased from our Service and request refunds. This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 (Kenya), and other applicable Kenyan laws.

By purchasing Products through our Service, you agree to this Refund and Returns Policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Refund and Returns Policy, terms used herein have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from https://techzone.co.ke/terms-and-conditions/.

Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

You may return eligible Products within 7 days of receipt for a refund or exchange, provided the following conditions are met:

  • The Product is in its original condition, unused, with all original packaging, tags, accessories, and documentation intact.
  • The return is due to one of the following reasons:
    • The Product is defective, damaged, or does not match the description provided on the Service.
    • You received the wrong Product.
    • Change of mind (applicable only to non-customized Products; subject to inspection and restocking fees).
  • Proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email or invoice) must be provided.

Products that are not eligible for returns include:

  • Customized or personalized items.
  • Opened or used hygiene-related products (e.g., earphones, if applicable).
  • Digital products or downloadable content.
  • Products marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” on the Service.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these criteria.

Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact Us within 7 days of receiving the Product via email at support@techzone.co.ke or by phone at 0793137137, providing your order number, reason for return, and photos of the Product if applicable.
  2. We will review your request and, if approved, provide return instructions, including a return authorization number.
  3. Ship the Product back to Us at your expense (unless the return is due to Our error, in which case We will cover reasonable shipping costs).
  4. Returns must be sent to the address provided in the return authorization.

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned Product:

  • If the Product meets the eligibility criteria, We will process a refund or exchange within 7-14 business days.
  • Inspections may take up to 5 business days.

Refunds

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the return is due to Our error.
  • For change-of-mind returns, a restocking fee of up to 10% of the Product price may apply.
  • Refunds for defective or incorrect Products will include the full purchase price, including any applicable shipping fees paid.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage to the Product during return shipping.

In the event of a refund, you will receive an email confirmation once processed.

Exchanges

If you prefer an exchange instead of a refund:

  • Exchanges are subject to Product availability.
  • If the exchanged Product has a different price, you will be required to pay the difference or receive a credit for the excess.
  • Shipping fees for exchanges are your responsibility, unless due to Our error.

Warranty and Defective Products

Products may come with a manufacturer’s warranty. For warranty claims:

  • Contact Us with details of the defect.
  • We will facilitate the warranty process with the manufacturer.
  • Defective Products identified within the return window may be returned under this policy; beyond that, refer to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Techzone does not provide additional warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturer.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under this policy due to events beyond Our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or supply chain disruptions.

Changes to This Refund and Returns Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
